The latest offering will enhance the healthcare provision for insurance providers, healthcare groups, and the two million patients that Doctor Care Anywhere serves.

DCA has partnered with UK-based online pharmacy Signature Pharmacy as a delivery partner for its e-prescription services.

Through the new partnership, patients signed up to the DCA platform will now be able to have their private prescription delivered to them seven days a week, wherever they are in the UK, after having a 20-minute consultation with a DCA General Practitioner. Same-day deliveries will be available in London, and next day for the rest of the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. For most regions, deliveries will be free of charge, with a small fee required in other areas.

Enhancing healthcare access during the global pandemic

“Covid-19 has created unprecedented demand for digital healthcare solutions. We are delighted that this latest enhancement of our e-prescriptions service will deliver the care patients need, wherever they are in the UK, in a timely, secure and Covid-compliant manner,” said Dr Bayju Thakar, Managing Director and Founder of Doctor Care Anywhere.

Reece Samani, Superintendent Pharmacist and Founder at Signature Pharmacy adds that the new prescription delivery service is ‘the perfect complement to the on-demand nature of the consultations offered by DCA’.

Global insurance groups and healthcare providers are among those that DCA provides services for, and these entities will also benefit from the improved healthcare access that the new offering provides, as well as enhancing these organisations’ medical case management of patients. Many international workers stationed in the UK that are covered by international private medical insurance offerings through their employers, for example, will be among those managing chronic conditions that require repeat prescriptions.
